 Full
or part-time personnel can be supplied as required, including registered
nurses and licensed practical nurses. They conduct state-mandated
screenings and immunization surveys; give first aid and emergency care;
provide physician ordered procedures and prescribed medications. These
professionals can act as a resource to teachers in implementing mandated
health curricula and in dealing with timely health issues. Each is
certified in the identification and reporting of child abuse, and is
prepared to serve as an advisor in this sensitive area. They are
qualified to participate as members of child study teams
