Parent-Child Home Programs

These programs are designed to stimulate the development of educationally at-risk Pre-K children. Trained home visitors demonstrate to parents/caregivers how to talk and play with their two-year-old and three-year-old children, using developmentally appropriate books and toys. In the case of the Parent-Child Home Program, located in Great Neck and Manhasset, children and their parents also come to a center for group interaction. These programs are based on a nationally recognized program design, developed by the Verbal Interaction Project.

There are also centers in Freeport, Hempstead, Roosevelt, Westbury and Farmingdale reaching hundreds of parents.

The program codes (Cosers) for these programs are 540 to 547.
