Summer Enrichment Programs
Summer Arts Academy Summer Arts Academy
Each participant may enroll in one or more of the following areas: creative writing, dance, drama, musical theater, instrumental or vocal music, music technology, composition, computer graphics or visual arts. Classes are held each weekday during July from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the air-conditioned custom-designed arts complex. Visit the program's Web site for more details. This one-week intensive high school level string orchestra “camp” is a
partnership between Nassau BOCES and the Long Island Philharmonic. Based
at the Long Island High School for the Arts, it gives students the
opportunity to rehearse and perform with professional musicians, preparing
them for the start-up of the school year. The Academy includes orchestra
and chamber ensemble repertoire, master classes, and break-out sessions on
a number of skills-related topics and is aid able through Exploratory
