Summer Arts Academy

The Summer Arts Academy is an intensive four-week program in the visual and performing arts for interested students in grades 6 – 12. Located at the Long Island High School for the Arts in Syosset, it offers individualized coaching with professional artists who are also experienced master teachers. Ensemble work and public performances help students to strengthen existing skills and explore new ones.

Each participant may enroll in one or more of the following areas: creative writing, dance, drama, musical theater, instrumental or vocal music, music technology, composition, computer graphics or visual arts. Classes are held each weekday during July from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the air-conditioned custom-designed arts complex. Visit the program's Web site for more details.
