The purpose of the Nassau County Council of School Superintendents is to give the superintendents of the public school districts in Nassau County the opportunity to share experiences and information with respect to educational problems and practices within the County and State and to act as a group in matters related to the New York State Council of School. 

 
All Nassau County school districts' Valedictorians and Salutatorians were honored for their achievements on June 1, 2012 at the Crest Hollow Country Club. The audience included their high school principals, their school district superintendents and their parents. The event was sponsored by the Nassau County Council of School Superintendents.
