This summer, Long Islanders have nearly 20 new opportunities to look beautiful. A group of 19 Nassau BOCES Adult Career and Technical Education students have completed the Cosmetology program and can now test to earn their New York State licenses.
These graduates have completed 1,000 hours of training, preparing them for the state licensing exam. The course is taught by New York State Board Examiners in cutting-edge salon facilities, and students are instructed in the finer points of hair design, nail artistry, skin care and basic men’s hair cutting.
